High quality networking infrastructure constructing

The backbone in our campus network has been upgraded to single-mode optical fiber (SMF) network with the Giga bits bandwidth. It satisfies the requirement of teaching using video/audio stream in the near future. In addition to the wire network, wireless network environments are incrementally constructed in library, student activity center, administration building, conference rooms and classrooms to provide the services for learning and activities. Students can enjoy the distance learning environment.

Electronic learning environment

There are nine computer classrooms with LCD and multimedia devices. All the computer classrooms are electronic learning environments with network service, teaching broadcast system, projector etc.. Computer center provides software for teaching and promotion the concept about intellectual property rights. NCYU has authorized to use the software by Microsoft.

Computer center has constructed the integrated environment s for distance learning, video conference and conference. Video on Demand (VOD) is provided for the teachers and students in NCYU. Synchronous and asynchronous distance learning servers are set up. Digital teaching materials made by teachers are gathered in the platform for the accessing by students. Multi-linked video connections between campuses are constructed for the cross campus distance learning. There are teaching material workrooms provide audio/video recording devices to help teachers to make quality teaching materials in each campus.

Electronic Administration

Administrative and teaching affairs in NCYU are all electronic digitized. Computer assistant teaching, web-based curriculum management system, E-mail server, Student score management system and graduation affair management system are all connected to internet. Staffs can finish the administrative and teaching affairs in NCYU.

High quality information campus

Computer center keeps on constructing the information campus to provide the multimedia teaching via high bandwidth. According the development of each campus, design and integrate the applications about video conference and distance learning. Computer center will build the efficient digitized e-campus with e-administrative systems and e-teaching environment.
